Wonderful Matswapati
Hello again, guys. With me again, Airell Rahman. This is the fourth blog that i just made. You know what am i going to do now? Now what i am going to do is tell you about an amazingly and beautifully designed event about arts and culture. I bet you already knew the name of the event, didn't you?
That's right! The name is Matswapati!
The name Matswapati itself came from a hindunese character that became a wayang character, Prabu Matswapati. This event was held by my school, 3 Senior High School. So it was pretty interesting to see such a big event held by my own school. Matswapati was held on Saturday, 27th September 2014, so it just happened few days ago. It was held in Bali Field, the field next to my school. I thought it would not be really good. But it turns out that the comitte from the decoration division did a really good job by changing the original dirty and dusty field to a good looking place to visit. But yeah, it is kind of hot there since the field is outdoor. So basically every class in my school had its own stand. The concept of my stand was pretty good as well. My stand was the second last on the right side.
First, i went to the Field at about 7-8 am because i woke up late. I asked my friend if it's okay and hey said okay, so i was a little bit lazy too. I went there accompanied by my parents. They didn't enter the Matswapati, they just wanted to drive me. Then when i arrived, the road was closed due to the Matswapati event. I went out and went to the gate but unfortunately i forgot the most important thing! My ticket! So i explained it to the comitte but she said i must buy a new one. Luckily i still have some money in my wallet. Then i entered the field. But i quickly went out again because all students will do a parade. Then my friend Dias asked me to bring an eagle made of some unused cardboard. Then i brought it and i ran to the front line of the parade since my friends was there. Then we began the parade by walking around the area of my school. It was such a good thing because people's eyes was looking at us. I sometimes lift the Eagle so people will see, but you know, it was tired to do it. After walking around, we went back to the Bali Field. We stopped in front of the field and began resting for a while. Then we watched a show by some men. It was pretty scary because one of the guy was pretending/ not pretending to be a mystic creature.
The guy breaks some glass plate and running around like a cat. Then the show ends and somehow that man recovered but feeling hurt at his back. What i didn't know was that the parade turns out to be a competition, and unfortunately my class didn't do interesting stuff on the parade, like shouting and singing or something. Probably because they was shy to do it in front of public.
After the parade ended, we went and entered the field again to prepare the stand since the stand was not completely ready. I didn't help much with the stand, but not everybody knew that i did a more important thing than preparing the stand since someone else was already preparing the stand. What i did was taking a plastic bag and putting trashes on it. So when people see our stand, they will see it nicely because it was clean. Because, some other stands had lots of trashes in front of them and when i looked at it, it wasn't nice and wasn't attracting people. So i began putting trashes into my plastic bag. At first, i did it in front of my stand. But somehow, i hadn't got enough, so i did it again but this time was in the front of another stand. But i still hadn't got enough because it was really dirty. So i did it again and this time i did it by walking around the front of some stands and then one of a teacher saw me doing it. Then she asked me to help putting the garbage bin to somewhere. When i was doing it, then suddenly my town's Mayor, Mr.Ridwan Kamil, went up to the stage to formally opened the launch of the event. So he was talking and people gather around the stage since it didn't happen often, right? You can see Mr. Ridwan Kamil with his wife, Mrs. Athia Kamil. Well, their son was on the field as well, since their son is my friend. His name is Emmeril.
You can also see Mr.Encang, our headmaster. This was the opening of Matswapati led by the mayor.
So i went back to my stand to see what's going on there. My friends prepared some games in our stand. It was a brain games.However they called it IQ Test Games, even it was not really accurate to calculate the IQ with that games. So my friend Akmal and the others was still preparing the stand. They tried to put a long fabric to my stand.
Then at about 12 am, we were ready to open the stand. So, we opened it. I went to the Food court for a while because it was really hot! I bought a drink and got back. Wow, fortunately, the cleaning trashes session became one of a good attractor for my stand. It looked clean, and interesting. Lots of people gather around my stand to play the games. The cost was Rp.2000,00 to try one games. It looked pretty easy, but somehow lots of people didn't manage to finish the puzzle. It looked pretty weird how a simple brain games attracted so many people. By the time we was doing this, an announcement of who wins the parade competition appeared. They said," The winner is.........Grade X -3!!!". And i said ,"ow...". Well, they got one million for that. But i believed that my class got the biggest profit from the stand.
That was the picture of X-3 student receiving the prizes. Well, we haven't done the best we can while in the parade, so it was obvious that we will not win the parade competition
Well, we continued to do the brain games. There was someone i don't really know visited the stand to play the brain games multiple times. Sometimes he didn't pay for the games. But in the end he paid it. My stand also had a chess game. It was pretty stupid if people want to do the chess game with one of X-2 students because it cost Rp.10000,00 just to play a single chess game. Even the reward of the games are only candies. But somehow we managed to attract them out until evening came. After the evening, i closed my stand so it won't distract the main show at the stage.
Evening came. Then i prayed, and if i'm not mistaken i ate something because i was hungry. Then i went back to see the stage. I went to see it with my friend Rafi and also Farhan. They're both the committe of Matswapati decoration. There was a show featuring Barsena and Glenn Fredly and others. Barsena sang western songs, and his voice was pretty good. And the situation on the event got more crowded when it comes to Glenn Fredly. He sang some song and wow his voice was so cool. I like Jazz, and his voice matched Jazz. But unfortunately i wasn't watching all of it since i went home earlier than the others. Then my dad picked me up and i went home because i was tired. But it was so wonderful to see such an amazing event!

Oh i forgot to mention, Classic Music from 3 Senior High School also performed well. Also, Tiloe's Theatre performed and that was a good show. This is the picture
